Privacy Policy
Effective October 4, 2026
Ready Room is a free, non-commercial project for the Rogue Spear community, built by the community. Nobody makes money from it. This page explains what the website and the Ready Room app store about you, why, who can see it, and what we don't collect at all.
- No sensitive data is stored in the database. No passwords, payment details, real names, home addresses, phone numbers, government IDs or precise locations.
- You sign in with Google, Discord or Microsoft. We never see or store your password for them.
- We store what it takes to run a lobby and a ladder: your callsign, your matches and stats, your chat and messages, and the email address your sign-in provider shares with us.
- Callsigns, ladders, clans, match results and game stats are public. That's the point of a ladder.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking cookies. We never sell or rent your data, and never share it for marketing.
- Want your account gone? Delete it yourself on your Account page, or ask us to.
| What | Why | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in methods: which provider (Google, Discord, Microsoft), the account ID it gives us, and the email address it shares | To recognize you when you sign in, and to show you which methods are linked | You. Admins of this server can see it if needed. Never shown to other players, and we don't send you email. |
| Profile: your callsign, when you joined and were last online, your role (player, moderator, admin) | So other players know who they're playing | Everyone |
| Friends and blocks: friend requests, friends and players you've blocked | Friends lists, and keeping blocked players away from you | You (and the other person, for friends) |
| Clans: clans, members, ranks and invites | Clan pages and the clan ladder | Everyone (invites: the clan and the invited player) |
| Chat and messages: what you write in public channels, clan chat, game rooms and direct messages | To deliver them and keep the history | The people in that channel or conversation. Moderators can review messages when there's a report. Messages aren't end-to-end encrypted, so don't send anything private. |
| Ladders and matches: challenges, match results and reports, ratings and seasons | Running the ladders and settling disputes | Everyone (disputes: the players involved and admins) |
| Game stats: Rogue Spear's end-of-round results file (player names, teams, kills, deaths, hit percentage, rounds fired, map, game type and round length) | Live scoreboards, profiles, the Stats page and match evidence | Everyone |
| Paired PCs: the PC's name (its Windows computer name), the app version, when it was paired and last connected, and a one-way hash of its sign-in token (never the token itself) | So the app can sign in, and so you can see and remove your PCs | You |
| Moderation records: warnings, mutes, suspensions and bans with their reasons, and a log of every admin action | Fair, accountable moderation | Admins of this server |
| Diagnostic logs: errors and events from the website and the app, such as "couldn't launch the game", the app and Windows versions, and Windows' crash record for Rogue Spear when it crashes. Linked to your account and PC. | Finding and fixing bugs | Only the person who runs this server |
- Passwords. Sign-in happens on Google's, Discord's or Microsoft's own page.
- Payment details. Ready Room is free. There's nothing to buy.
- Your real name, address, phone number, date of birth or government ID. Your callsign is all we need. (If you put personal details in your callsign or chat, they'll be stored like any other text, so please don't.)
- Your location. We don't use location services. Your browser's time zone is kept in a cookie only to show times in your local time.
- Your IP address in the database. The web server's access logs record IP addresses for troubleshooting and abuse prevention, and are rotated out automatically. The game relay forwards game traffic between players without keeping it. Pairing a new PC looks at your network for a few minutes, in memory only, to stop abuse.
- Anything else on your PC. The app reads only Rogue Spear's own files (its results logs and multiplayer settings) and Windows' crash records for Rogue Spear. It doesn't look at your other files or programs, and it doesn't record your screen, keystrokes, voice or webcam.
- Analytics or advertising data. There are no trackers, ad networks or analytics scripts on the site.
- The app keeps its settings, its own log file (capped at about 1 MB) and its sign-in token in
%LocalAppData%\ReadyRoom. The token is encrypted with your Windows account, so other users of the PC can't use it. - While you play, the Ready Room network service sets Rogue Spear's multiplayer settings for the room, then puts your own settings back.
- Uninstalling the app removes the app and the network service. Signing out in the app removes its token and unpairs the PC.
- Google, Discord and Microsoft handle sign-in. They know you signed in to Ready Room, and they share your account ID and email address with us. Their own privacy policies cover what they do.
- Google Cloud hosts the server and its backups, in the United States.
- Google Fonts serves the site's fonts, so your browser connects to Google to download them.
We don't share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires it or it's needed to protect players or the service (for example, reporting a serious threat).
- Your account and what's linked to it: until you delete it (or ask us to), or the project shuts down.
- Diagnostic logs: 30 days, then deleted automatically.
- Database backups: made nightly into private storage and deleted after 30 days.
- Moderated chat messages are hidden rather than deleted, so a report can still be reviewed. Moderation records are kept so bans and fair play can be enforced.
- On your Account page: see and unlink sign-in methods, sign out everywhere, and delete your account.
- On the Get the app page: see your paired PCs and remove any of them.
- On a player's profile: block them, so you don't see their chat and they can't message you or send friend requests.
- Delete your account: do it yourself at the bottom of your Account page, or contact support@addatek.com and we'll do it within 30 days. To get a copy of your data, contact us the same way. Deleting removes your profile, sign-in methods, friends, blocks, clan memberships, paired PCs, chat messages and the diagnostic logs linked to you, and frees your callsign. Match results and round stats that other players were part of stay in the ladder history, shown as "(deleted - your callsign)" with no account behind it. Copies in backups age out within 30 days.
- We honor these requests wherever you live, including rights you may have under laws like the GDPR or the CCPA.
Everything travels over HTTPS. PC sign-in tokens are stored only as one-way hashes, the website's sign-in keys are encrypted, the database isn't reachable from the internet, and app updates must carry a signature made offline before they install.
Still, this is a volunteer project and no system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that data will never be lost or exposed. That's one more reason we keep so little of it. If something happens that affects your data, we'll say so on the site.
Ready Room is not for children under 13, or under the minimum age for online services where you live. We don't knowingly keep their data. If you think a child has an account, contact support@addatek.com and we'll delete it.
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. Big changes will be announced on the site or in the app before they take effect.
Questions or requests: support@addatek.com.
