- You keep ownership of what you write: chat, messages, callsigns, clan names and match reports.
- You give Ready Room permission to store, show and copy it as needed to run the service (for example, showing your messages to the people you send them to, and keeping backups). This permission is free, worldwide, and ends when the content is deleted, except for copies that other players received or that remain in backups until they expire.
- You're responsible for what you post, and you must have the right to post it.
- Other players' content is theirs, not ours. We don't review everything before it appears and aren't responsible for it. If you see something that breaks the rules, tell an admin.
Terms of Service
Effective October 4, 2026
Ready Room is a free hobby project for the Rogue Spear community, built by the community and run by volunteers. These terms cover the website and the Ready Room app for Windows. By signing in, installing the app or using either of them, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Ready Room.
- Free and non-commercial. There's nothing to buy, no subscription and no ads. Nobody is paid to run it.
- Unofficial. Ready Room is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Ubisoft. Rainbow Six and Rogue Spear are trademarks of Ubisoft Entertainment. You need your own legitimately obtained copy of the game.
- Run on a best-effort basis. Volunteers keep it going in their spare time. It can be slow, go down, lose data, change or shut down, with or without notice.
- Ratings, rankings, ladder positions, badges and anything else on Ready Room have no monetary value. Nobody is owed a prize.
- You must be at least 13, and old enough to use online services without a parent's permission where you live.
- One account per person, and it's yours alone: no sharing and no second accounts.
- You sign in with Google, Discord or Microsoft, so keeping those accounts secure is up to you. You're responsible for what happens on your Ready Room account.
- Callsigns and clan names must not impersonate someone else or be offensive. Admins can change or remove them.
- You can stop using Ready Room at any time, and delete your account from your Account page or ask us to (see the Privacy Policy).
Follow the Rules. On top of them, don't use Ready Room to:
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or post hate speech, sexual content involving minors, or anything illegal;
- cheat, or help anyone else cheat;
- spam, scam, or share malware or links to it;
- attack, overload, probe or disrupt the website, the app, the relay or other players' connections, or get into accounts or data that aren't yours;
- scrape or copy the site in bulk, or use the service to build something that competes with it by copying it;
- break the law, or the terms of the game or of Google, Discord or Microsoft.
Admins are volunteers. They can warn, mute, suspend or ban accounts, remove content and change results, at their discretion and without notice. Their decisions are final.
- You may install and use the app on your own PCs, for personal, non-commercial use.
- What it does to your PC: it installs a Windows service and a virtual network adapter (WireGuard's Wintun), adds a firewall rule for the room network, changes Rogue Spear's multiplayer settings while you play and puts them back afterwards, and installs its own updates (only ones signed by the project). Uninstalling it removes these.
- You install and run the app at your own risk. Keep backups of anything on your PC that matters to you.
- Don't modify the app or use it to interfere with the service, other players or their PCs.
Ready Room, the website and the app are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, or that they will be error-free, uninterrupted or free of harmful components. You use them entirely at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the people who create, run, moderate, host or contribute to Ready Room are not liable to you or anyone else for any damages or losses of any kind arising from or related to signing up for, installing, using or being unable to use Ready Room, including direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, and including loss of data, accounts, rankings, profits or goodwill, damage to your computer or software, or the conduct or content of other players, even if they were told such damages were possible, and whatever the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or anything else).
Ready Room is free. Where liability can't be excluded entirely, the total liability of everyone involved, for all claims combined, is limited to the amount you paid to use Ready Room, which is zero.
Some places don't allow some of these exclusions or limits. Where that's the case, they apply as far as the law there allows.
If someone makes a claim against the people who run Ready Room because of what you did on it, your content, or your breaking these terms or the law, you agree to cover the resulting losses and reasonable costs, including legal fees, as far as the law allows.
- We can suspend or close any account, or stop offering Ready Room to anyone, at any time and for any reason, including breaking these terms or the Rules.
- Ready Room can change, lose features or shut down at any time. We'll try to give notice, but we can't promise to.
- We can update these terms. When we do, we'll post the new version here and change the date at the top, and announce big changes on the site or in the app. Using Ready Room after a change means you accept the new terms.
- The sections on what you post, no warranty, no liability and indemnity still apply after your account is closed.
- These terms, the Rules and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Ready Room.
- If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies, and that part is applied as far as it can be.
- Not enforcing a rule once doesn't mean we've given it up.
- You can't transfer your account or these terms to someone else.
